Julia is an accomplished senior human resources executive with broad cross-disciplinary expertise across the financial services industry. She has a demonstrated history of developing people and driving operational excellence. Her strong human resources skills in coaching, management, succession planning, organizational development, recruiting and employee engagement have driven her successful 20 plus year career in human resources. Her passion is talent that drives initiatives that align people strategies with organizational needs and contribute to a motivated workforce, having fun along the way.

Her leadership paradigm is to serve as a trusted advisor, leaning into best practices developing, evaluating, and setting principles, policies, and objectives needed in today’s competitive workforce.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, SHRM-SCP and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications. She is also a 2016 graduate of the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) program.

After many years working in the banking industry, Julia found her way home to SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union as Vice President of Human Resources. SchoolsFirst FCU is the 5th largest credit union in the nation, the largest serving schools employees and has lived the credit union philosophy of “People helping people” through the depression, wars, recessions, great booms and financial crisis remaining a beacon of hope for Members and their families since 1934.

Julia believes in building strong cultures of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She volunteers on an Advisory Board focused on preparing today’s youth to become tomorrow’s leaders and the Southern California Diversity Council. Julia currently resides in Irvine, CA with her husband Ed and their very personable Pomeranian, Fergie.
