With over 30 years of experience as a Chief Human Resources Officer, David has led a number of large-scale organizational change and business transformation programs. He has a strong track record of driving business results through the development and execution of HR strategies in diverse industries such as e-commerce, financial services, academic medicine and healthcare. David came to Stanford Health Care in January 2017 where he and his team embarked on redefining and transforming the HR function to fundamentally shift how HR Services are provided, how to leverage innovative technology, and deliver a preeminent employee experience that supports business objectives.
David holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from West Virginia University, and is certified as a senior professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as an internal consultant in managing organization change. A popular conference speaker, David has lectured audiences across the country and globally on such topics as human resources strategy/transformation, change management, and employee engagement. He has also written numerous published articles on related topics and is a contributing author of two books.
